Building DNA

This was a single lesson introducing students to DNA and the double helix structure. Students were given a short lesson on DNA structure and function. They were then given a profile of traits which they had to translate into using gumdrops to represent the DNA base pairs. Students who finished fast were given another group's strand to translate into features.
